LP do Convextion
Saiu esta semana o primeiro LP do Gerard Hanson como Convextion, lançado pela Down Low. As oito faixas são techno viajante, com teclados esféricos e pulsantes, e algumas pitadas de Basic Channel. Não sou muito chegado nas primeiras faixas que o Gerard soltou pela Matrix, mas os últimos discos pela Down Low e este LP são bem legais. Confira!

Putz! Pior que o LP já esgotou! Esgotou antes mesmo de ser lançado! Realmente um fenômeno, ainda mais atualmente com as vendas de vinil tão baixas, e com tantos selos e distribuidoras fechando.

Um amigo do Gerard postou o seguinte comentário na lista 313: “What’s even more amazing about Gerard’s original Convextion and ERP releases, such as those on Matrix or our old HardSync imprint, they were all mainly produced with just a single digital keyboard and arranged on a first generation digital desktop sequencer. Percussion and all. He basically bought a synth and sequencer one day and disappeared for two weeks in his garage apartment. He wouldn’t skate, hang out, return calls, nothing. Then out of nowhere he emerged with tracks that were mind blowing. Zero to unreal in under two weeks.”….
